NEW! Latin American Grants


The Institute has just received confirmation from the
Spanish Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de
Cooperación (MAE-AECI ) that a small number of grants
will be made available to applicants of the following
Latin American countries starting academic year
2006-2007:

Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haití,
Republica Dominicana, Paraguay, Bolivia, Perú,
Ecuador, Cuba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brasil, México,
Chile, Venezuela, Panamá, Argentina, Uruguay.

N.B. Candidates from any of the countries mentioned
above interested in applying to the EUI must, besides
filling in the standard online application form for
admission to the Institute, fill in the grant
application form at the Spanish Ministry's website:
http://www.becasmae.es. Currently, this grant
application form is available at the Ministry's
website only until 15 December.

Effectively, this is the same form as the one which
has to be completed by applicants of Spanish
nationality applying to the EUI, in accordance with
the Ministry's Convocatoria for academic year
2006-2007 (see under Programa IVB Becas para Españoles
[e Iberoamericanos**] en el Instituto Universitario de
Florencia (IUE)").

Any Latin American candidate applying for the Spanish
MAE-AECI grant should mark this on his/her EUI
application form, under point 15 "Additional Notes".

Instructions on how to apply to the Institute, using
the EUI online form, are the same as for Spain
